The Hospitality House of Charlotte strives to support healthy outcomes, provides stability, and strengthens community for patients receiving medical care. Volunteers help organize and put away linen, rotate and organize pantry items, keep storage closets tidy, and maintain overall cleanliness. Volunteers must be 16 years or older with written parental consent.
Loaves and Fishes
Charlotte
Loaves & Fishes/Friendship Trays provides groceries, meals and hope through a network of food pantries and as the primary Meals on Wheels program for Mecklenburg County. Volunteers can help with many different things including: sorting food donations, packing food relief boxes, distributing food at a mobile food pantry and delivering groceries/meals. The minimum age to volunteer onsite is 14. Children under 17 must have an adult with them. Children under 14 are welcome to ride along with their parent for the grocery/meal delivery program. Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House is a great and rewarding way for teens to volunteer. The mission is to provide a safe, affordable and caring home-away-from-home for the families of children receiving treatment in Charlotte-area medical facilities. Teens 12-17 may volunteer with a parent on the weekends to assist with House Operations.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina

The number one goal of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina is to end child hunger. This volunteer opportunity is a great and rewarding way for teens to help out in the community. During weekday volunteer shifts, volunteers must be at least 17 years old. Volunteers age 13-16 can volunteer on the weekend with an adult age 21 or older.
