At the heart of Girls on the Run are amazing volunteers whose commitment and passion change the lives of thousands of girls each year. Volunteer opportunities are available for students +16 yrs old during the fall and/or spring seasons. 5K volunteer opportunities are available for younger kids and families.

Healthy Kids Running Series

Carlisle/Enola/Mechanicsburg/New Cumberland

Our volunteers are the real MVPs, making The Healthy Kids Running Series possible. We are currently recruiting volunteers to help all race day organization stay on track. Our volunteers can take the baton for some or all of our scheduled races for each town. Get ready to suit up as every volunteer will receive the official HKRS t-shirt! You must be at least 14 years old to make the team. Contact a local coordinator at a town near you to volunteer!

Upward Sports

United Methodist Church, Camp Hill

Upward Sports is so blessed by the service of volunteers, who help ensure that our programs run smoothly and soundly. Volunteers are needed for concession stands, assistant coaching and even to be our mascot.

Harrisburg Area YMCA Race Series

Youth Volunteer Positions: Finish line operations (set up/tear down, giving out finisher medals, moving barricades, managing finish line water/Gatorade area).

Volunteers make it possible for the YMCA to provide the best running events in the area. Please consider volunteering. As a volunteer, you will be playing an active part in making your community better while ensuring the Harrisburg YMCA continues to be able to positively affect the lives of youth in our community through our programs. Volunteer opportunities for several races are available throughout the year.
