Central Pennsylvania Friends of Jazz welcomes persons of all ages who are interested in or curious about jazz to volunteer with us. We have opportunities currently during COVID-19 to assist with organizing our large jazz library of cd's and vinyls. This would be for one or two folks only and during office hours.

Volunteer the HSO and be an HSO ambassador!
All ages and backgrounds are welcome as volunteers at most levels of the HSO. You do not have to be a professional musician. Volunteers are needed to usher at concerts, assist with in-house mailings and more, to keeping the Harrisburg Symphony running.

Open Stage of Harrisburg is dependent upon the help of our volunteers. As a nonprofit organization we thrive on assistance from volunteers in all areas of the theatre. Lending a hand at Open Stage is a great way to be involved in the arts while supporting your community.

Volunteer positions now open:​ Gallery Host

This is an opportunity for volunteers with flexible times or regularly scheduled shifts, such as afternoons or mornings. The opportunity requires people skills and a friendly, professional demeanor. The volunteer will be posted inside the main gallery of the museum and be responsible for gallery safety. This position sometimes includes kindly reminding museum visitors to refrain from touching art works or taking flash photographs. It requires no heavy lifting, no extended standing or physical activity. Free museum membership is available for regular volunteers.
