When you volunteer with the American Red Cross, you’re supporting one of the largest humanitarian organizations in the world and making a positive impact on your peers and in your community. You can also maximize your talent, learn new skills, improve your resume, and meet new people – all while
making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Volunteers under the age of 18 must provide parental consent.

LLS volunteers make a significant impact while selflessly dedicating their time and talent to achieve our mission. With countless ways to engage, from fundraising to providing patient support, our volunteers are helping us change the landscape of cancer. Volunteers aged 13 and above are welcome. All required waivers, terms, and conditions are immediately available when a minor applies for and accepts a role with us. By going to the site, all
volunteers are connected, based on zip code, to the current volunteer opportunities at the LLS Chapter closest to them.

Our mission is to provide education, support and advocacy to families and individuals with epilepsy in the greater NC Triangle area. Once a month, Triangle NC Epilepsy holds monthly support group meetings at
Brooks Avenue Church of Christ. In order for our parents to attend, we provide childcare so parents can listen and discuss topics about issues related to Epilepsy. Volunteers must be age 14 and up.

Student volunteers will be impacted through meaningful experiences and gain valuable job skills right here in our community. We offer volunteer positions for high school students at our Chapel Hill site for eight weeks during the summer. At our UNC Health Care Hillsborough sites, we offer opportunities during both the summer and the academic year. Volunteers must be 14 years old and have completed freshman year of high school by program start date. Parental consent is required.

The UNC REX VolunTEEN Program gives teenagers the opportunity to contribute to the community while exploring a career in the medical environment. The program provides teenagers with practical experience
while developing good work habits. High school sophomores, juniors and seniors ages 14-18 may apply. Parental Consent is required.
