Join the Boys & Girls Clubs next summer for the ULTIMATE volunteer experience, VolunTEENS –Teach, Empower, Engage, Navigate, Support. Enjoy 2 weeks of volunteering with kids ages 6 to 12 in one of our local Boys & Girls Clubs. Get hands-on experience working with young people and add something new to your resume. VolunTEENS must be rising Juniors in order to be eligible. All VolunTEENS are required to attend the summer orientation. COVID-19 Vaccinations required.

Ronald McDonald House

Volunteers are the heart of the Ronald McDonald House. They use their many gifts and talents to help families feel more at home both at the House and Hospital. From once a year to once a week, the time and gifts you give the House can make a huge impact. The Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill offers many opportunities for students earning service learning hours for school. Any person under the age of 18 needs a parent or adult to volunteer with them.

Your gifts and talents can make a big difference – whether volunteering as an individual or with a group, doing one-time, short-term or long-term activities. RMH was created by volunteers. Today, caring volunteers are still the heart of the House. Spread the love and get involved today! Baking treats and hosting evening family activities is always popular. House volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult; when in groups, one adult/five volunteers.

Summer Junior Counselor

Cary

The Town of Cary offers 10 weeks of Summer Camp programs for children ages 6-11. Within the camps, several spots are reserved each week for Junior Counselor volunteers for rising 10 th -12 th graders. Junior Counselor volunteers are selected each summer through an application and interview process. This will be an experience in which a high school student can take a responsible role as a volunteer within camps and then reflect on the experience. The program gives qualified individuals the opportunity to learn
firsthand all aspects of the job search process as well as the skills necessary to be a camp counselor. Parental consent is required for Junior Counselors.
